Will I be able to tell a difference in speed?

Right now I have a windows toshiba laptop. It has a 1gb ram and a 1.73ghz processor. Its like 3 years old. Will I be able to tell a big difference in speed if I get the 2.54ghz Macbook pro with 4gb of ram?
