Will i be able to UPGRADE on friday (O2 UK question)

I have done a quick search and cant find much, but after the shambles o2 have called an upgrade online, is it now possible to upgrade in store on friday?

do we have anything concrete saying we can?

is anybody going to do just that?

Sorry to jump on this thread but do you know if I can upgrade from an O2 pay and go account to an iPhone 3G in store? Is this just like a new contract or is it an upgrade? I want to retain my number.

if you're an existing O2 customer and out of contract, then you can simply upgrade to an iPhone tariff.. simple as.

Go into any O2 or CPW store and they will tell you that you can. Its somewhat comforting that they are being positive about it as well. Every store i have spoken to so far have told me its NO problem upgrading from the current iphone to the new one; i was expecting a fight but so far...so good!

To add to your post... Can existing customers upgrade at a CPW store? I originally purchased the phone from and O2 store but it may be easier to get to a CPW store.

at the bottom it says "The iPhone 3G will then be available for upgrade from 11th July at 8.02am in any of our O2 high street stores. Any stores in shopping centres will open at their usual times"

its a new contract - as you havent got an existing one, but you can keep the number

Does anyone know if they will re-credit check you etc?

I've been with o2 online for years and would prefer to just be upgraded as they would do it, i.e. no credit check, just hand over the phone etc.
