Will i be able to use my external drive of Windows on a new MAC?

I am thinking of buying a new Mac, well not new a second hand one. My question is will my Windows Bootcamp drive external work with a new Mac?
Bearing in mind it would give the specs from my current Mac. Will I have to redo the Windows drive?
