I have an iphone 3G (updated to the latest 4.1 OS) that someone gave me before she got a new iphone 4...

Due to my phone (line) being part of a business plan, all data connections have been deactivated for my line.

My question is this - As it stands now, I cant connect to data or even Wifi... If I were to JailBreak, would this make it possible for me to at least use (get) a wifi connection?

Also, if someone could point me to a FAQ, or website with the software and info on JBing that would be great too. Thanks alot.

ou should be able to use the wifi connection. Make sure it is on by
tapping Settings > Wifi > Slide to on
If your network is secured or hidden ou will need to provided the credentials of the network, type security WEP, WPA, WPA2 etc
