I already have my broadband and wifi via a net gear wireless router in my home, I have two macs, 2 iPhones an iPad, apple tv2 and a ps3. I already have a wireless network via the net gear router, my main mac and ps3 are hard wired via Ethernet, and all my portable devices and the apple tv is on wifi, would I benefit in any way from introducing an apple airport express to my setup?

An Airport Express performs 4 functions or combination of functions.

- It can act as a wireless router, much like you Netgear, but wireless only.
- It can extend your existing wireless network
- It can act as a print server
- It can act as an airplay location to send music wirelessly to a stereo.

Do you need any of these features?

If you have $$ burning a hole in your pocket then pick one up just to play with it. It's got some very nice features like Airplay, wifi extending and print sharing. I use one to feed iTunes to my home speaker system.

Otherwise, if you have no idea why you would need one save yourself the money, sounds like your network is running fine :)
