Air MagSafe Battery Saga
Last week my Air MagSafe battery arrived. I was OOO, so it got signed for and placed in my locked office. Came in Thursday, saw the box, but the seal was already broken. Checked surveillance — exactly as the front desk said, no one entered until I did.
Called Apple. They “investigated” for a couple days, then confirmed a replacement was shipping. Return box also showed up, even though I had nothing to return.
Today FedEx brings the replacement. I grab it directly, box feels light. Open it up… EMPTY.
Back on the phone with Apple. Rep was cool about it, clearly shocked, but now another “investigation” is underway. Supposedly another unit is coming, but no ETA. I travel this weekend, so I may just buy one at the Apple Store (or Amazon can get one here Thursday).
The saga continues. Unbelievable
TL;DR: First MagSafe battery showed up with a broken seal, Apple replaced it… second one arrived completely empty. Now waiting on Apple’s second “investigation.”
