I've had my 3G since August or September... but its one of the ones with the "light leak" along the left side.. you know what I'm talking about.

Should I just bring it to an Apple Store?
If so, will they just tell me I'm SOL, or does it depend on the person I get?

Thanks =)

Just bring it to the Apple Store and just see, chances are you can get your iPhone replaced on the spot. Does it hurt trying?

I've done the whole Genius Bar iPhone replacement schtick about half a dozen times now, and every single replacement unit I get has the same light leak issue to varying degrees. Even my roommate's iPod Touch does the same thing, so I'm thinking it's a manufacturing problem; chances are even your replacement is going to do the same thing.

I used to think that until I got one with no light leak. The problem was, the plastic was no longer flush with the metal bezel and I had to return that iPhone. My new iPhone has a hint of light leak but, I never see it because it's not enough to notice.
