Hi guys,

80GB is no longer enough for me, so I purchased a 320GB 7200 RPM scorpio black yesterday. I think it is SATA II and the Macbook is just SATA, so I'll probably have to switch the jumpers up, but now I'm reading http://obscuredclarity.blogspot.com/2009/10/macbook-hard-drive-upgrade-instructions.html (and elsewhere) that my macbook's mobo (it's old...) might have trouble with a drive over 250GB? Apparently the problems don't necessarily start right off the bat. Anyone have a definitive answer on this? :D

Thanks!

A friend of mine have a 500GB scorpio in his macbook core duo (i think that is the 1,1 mb?)

Sorry - just realized I put this in the MBP forum. Maybe the mods can move it?
