Hey,
I know with many electronic devices it's best to charge them fully before you use them the first time for good battery life.

However, when my girlfriend got her iPhone replacement from apple they said it came with some charge on it, and it's best to use it until the battery is completely dead, then charge it up.
Since every iPhone 3G must be activated, I'm assuming it will come with some charge, meaning that I shouldn't have to charge it fully right out of the box, right?

i'm also wondering the same thing.

is it best to drain the battery completely dead and then charge it fully when you first get the iPhone?

whats the best way to go with the battery for the first day?

thanks!

with these modern lithium batteries is really doesn't matter.
Gone have the days when you had to charge a mobile for 16 hours to 'burn it in'

dont worry about and get stuck in!:)
