I can’t agree. What about the “fun” colors and lighter weight of the regular 16 (as in non-Pro)?Yes, 15PM to 16 Plus is a downgrade in every way except possibly a slight boost in battery life.

It is hard to answer without any context as to why you are making the move.
For anyone wondering:
Moving from the 15PM to the 16 Plus you:
- lose 120hz promotion
- lose AOD

- lose 2 hours 'rated' battery life for video
- lose USB 3 support for 20x faster transfers
- lose Apple ProRAW
- lose Log video recording
- lose academy color encoding system
- lose ProRes video recording up to 4K at 60 fps with external recording
- lose LiDAR Scanner
- lose night mode portraits
- move from adaptive true-tone flash to true-tone flash
- Move from precious duel frequency GPS to GPS
- move from 2nd gen sensor-shift OIS for video to 1st gen
Moving from the 15Pm to the 16 Plus you
- gain camera button
- gain spatial photos
- gain new photographic styles rear cameras
- gain latest gen Ceramic Shield glass
- gain magsafe wireless charging
- gain 1 nit minimum brightness
- gain spacial audio with video recording
- get main camera 1.6 aperture vs 1.78 on 15PM
- gain 5 hours 'rated' battery life for audio
- gain wind noise reduction
- gain audio mix
- gain new photographic styles front camera
- move from QT video in 1440p@30fps/4:3 aspect ratio to 4K at 60 fps in Dolby Vision and 16:9 aspect ratio (all cameras)

- get a phone that is 0.78g lighter
I am sure typing all this out was overkill but I am kinda high. You have a tough, personal decision to make if contemplating the move. For me personally, 120hz promotion and 5x zoom lens are two much to give up for what I would gain. I also really value the 2nd gen OIS on videos for the kinds that I shoot. Gotta tick the boxes and see where you land.
What exactly was it you hated with how it felt, if I may ask? Genuinely curious. Was is the lack of ”heft” or promotion?Went from 13 Pro to 16 Plus. Hated how it felt, exchanged it for a Pro Max.

I bought and received a 16PM on launch day. I set it up and was disappointed as it didn't feel any different than my 15PM. I used it for 3 days and returned it. My decision to go 16 Plus is it'll give me a "new" feel. I hate that I get bored so quickly and have to buy things often,
All that said....I cancelled my 16 plus order and order a back 16PM to try again.
I’m not trying to be patronizing but you’re not missing anything on the 15 Pro Max that you’d get on the 16 Pro Max (unless you become the 0.1% of people who actually use the camera button).
Even coming from a 13 Pro, aside from jumping up to the Max display + Dynamic Island, my interactions with the phone have not dramatically changed.
