Hi,

I'm wondering if the Black Friday discount will still apply if I upgrade my Macbook Pro 13" to 4GB of RAM when I buy it?

Are the discounts only for the standard options?

The Black Friday Macrumors guide doesn't say;)

Thanks :)

I would recommend not to upgrade RAM. Just get the standard MBP and upgrade it with RAM bought from any other retailer, i.e. amazon or similar. It will cost less, probably ~half the original price.... Note, that warranty is not voided during the upgrade process- you can use guides on Apple website as well.

I agree with the previous post, buy ram 3rd party and save. Plus, you won't worry about black friday discounts and whatnot.

I was in the Apple store a few weeks ago and a girl brought in a macbook and a stick of RAM and one of the genius's installed it for her, they didn't even make her sign in or anything.

This was mid-week around 2ish, so a less busy time, if you're not comfortable doing it yourself that could be an option.
