will installing a lot of apps slow down my new mbp?

As long as you dont run them all at the same time or totally fill your harddrive it will make no difference.

while your installing all of the apps it might feel sluggish to do things while installing but after they are installed no it will not slow down the comp unless like previously stated you fill the hard drive.
