Will installing a new hard drive void my warranty?

Im about to go to the Apple store for them to take a look at my MBP, It seems that the hinge is scarping the body of my MBP. But i was wondering since i installed a new HD, would it void my warranty?

As far as i know, Hard drive and Memory (Ram) can be changed and it won't effect your warranty

It won't unless you break something while doing it. Apple even provides instructions how to do it. However, the self-installed HD is not covered by Apple so in case it goes bad, you have to deal with the seller/manufacturer of the drive
