iPhone Will iOS 8 GM Version Get OTA Update Notifications of Future Official Versions?

Just updated to iOS 8 GM a few days ago. I wonder I will get OTA update notifications of future updates of the newer official versions? If the build number of iOS 8 GM and iOS 8 official version share the same build number, do I have to install the official version in order to get future OTA update notifications? Thanks.

1. Yes. This is the final public build.

2. No in rare instance when Apple finds showstopper bug in current GM and re-issues a new GM. In that case, download and install new GM again or wait for public release.

You should know that first iPhone6 products have the GM seed. So you can find out the answer.
