iPhone Will iOS 8 will support Message Access Protocol?

Does anyone know if iOS 8 will support Message Access Protocol?

I need it so I can receive and send sms from my car.

Thanks. I have a 4s on ios7 and apparently it's my 4s that doesn't support it or my carrier. When I go on my vehicle mfg site it says not compatible for sending.
