Will iPad Air3 be available for Christmas?

I think this is probably the most realistic answer. With traditional iPad sales continuing to decline, Apple is going to throw its resources into pushing the iPad Pro for now, and then maybe next fall you'll see an iPad Air 3 get released.
The iPad Air 2 is still a blazing fast tablet that runs iOS 9 with split screen and has the touch sensor. There is no need for an Air 3 this year.

The Air 2 is still going strong. There is also not enough iPad demand to justify more than 1 flagship iPad product per season. The iPad Pro is new and has a high average selling price...a good thing for Apple going in to the holidays. They would only hurt themselves by introducing an Air 3 at the same time.
Not anytime soon, but can't wait for next gen processors, next gen touch id, and 3D touch with the iPad Air 3!

Haha... I would say that's a little exaggerated. It would be more like...... There's as much of a chance for an Air 3 by Christmas as there is an Apple Watch 2 by Thanksgiving.. but nice try.
Saying there is as much chance as an IPP 2 by Thanksgiving would be equal to the iPhone 7 by the Halloween that just past us..
No. Apple's already announced and launched their 2015 iPad line up. Plus, Christmas is barely over a month away. They would have at least announced it by now so that people would plan for it in their holiday shopping.
Honestly though, what would you be hoping for in an Air 3 that the Air 2 isn't able to do? Except I guess of course Touch ID gen 2 and Force Touch, but I can't imagine they would release an Air 3 with those kinds of hardware upgrades so soon after leaving them off the iPP.
No, an updated iPad Air will cannibalise iPad pro sales. Updating an iPad mini and iPad pro at the same time is safe. Maybe around June with an updated iPhone 6c.
