Will the iPad get Siri? I hpoe it does but right now it looks like maybe not! But why wouldn't they out it on the iPad? Also will the iPad get that stalker app (find my friends)?

It might need the 1GB of RAM that the iPhone 4S has. However, you never know, they may add it in a future update for the iPad 2.

damn!, I'm confused!.. who told you it has 1GB RAM?.. I just watched the keynote and they didn't mention it.

I hope not. that thing will be rather annoying. I can just see people talking to their iphones/ipads on the train or on the street. But I'm sure apple will find a way to milk the customers. Probably Ipad 2S will have it

I've seen people talking to their iPhone for years. Since they came out, actually. On trains, streets, restaurants, cars, in the woods, on boats, you name it. In fact, I've seen people talking to all kinds of different phones.

i doubt it

Its a feature they'll probably save for the iPad 3, with every refresh of their products the features introduced become less and less substantial hardware wise. So they'll save things ilke siri and other "revolutionary" applications for their next generations of hardware.

It's not in it's 5 for iPad.

Apple is being flipping ridiculous about Siri...once again, before they bought it, it was running on everything.

TYPICAL.

Honestly I wish other platforms had more apps, I'd be out. Fortunately I won't be getting the 4s and the iPad 2 is fresh still...so there's plenty of time.

Apple should be taking every dev to dinner, the 3rd party debs are the reason they have such a lock.

I'm disappointed by this as well, but we don't even have the voice search already present in the other phones. So I guess its not really expected of this device.

this was on the bottom of the iphone 4S email from apple.

Siri is available only on iPhone 4S and requires Internet access. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area. Cellular data charges may apply.

Apple typically doesn't talk about system memory on devices. The 1GB was a rumor. We will have to wait for someone to tear down a 4S when they come out to confirm that it has 1GB of RAM.

I would imagine that it's going to be on all of it's devices at some point in the future, but it sounds like only the new iPhone will have it at launch. It is still in beta.

Or someone should just say to the phone "How much system memory do you have?" :)

Thats not the reason, they want people to upgrade to the latest and hence the feature is iPhone 4S only.

1GB RAM on iPhone 4S isn't confirmed, even supposing it has I don't think Siri would require that much of RAM to run.
