Will Ipad upgrade to iOS 4.2 effect my Iphone Jailbreak?

I want to upgrade the Ipad to iOS4.2

They are both sync to the same itunes 10.1.2, I just want to be sure this will not screw up my apps or my jailbroken unlocked Iphone 3gs which is still on iOS4.0, and I don't plan to upgrade the phone anytime soon.

I really don't think it should, but I wanted to see if anyone had any issues with jailbroken apps, as of right now both play nice together.
