I'm going to be moving to Korea at the end of summer and was wondering if all the features on the iPhone will work after canceling my plan such as web browsing and Skype. Also, will iTunes still be able to update my iPhone if i cancel my contract?

If i had to keep my plan, is there a way to have the iPhone stop searching for a call signal and 3G/Edge connection without putting it in Airplane mode (because I would still like to have wifi functionality) so it doesn't use up battery power and possibly end up paying roaming fees?

Any help/insight would be appreciated.
