So 2 weeks ago my iphone 3G went to the bottom of the lake at my marina. Thankfully I backed it up a week before...I pre-ordered an iphone 4 and have come across the puzzling question: how the hell will I be able to "restore from backup" on the new iphone 4 that will be running a new OS? My thoughts:

-Will it reject the backup?

-Should I just find a program to extract all the data from the backup?

-Should I use a friends 3G iphone (that will be backed up on his/her itunes before I try this), erase it, then load my backup, then go on and deleting blackra1n jailbreak, then re-back it up to my PC now having no jailbreak on it, then finally give back to friend to back up from their PC to return to his/her settings.....(I know it sounds crazy)

Any solutions would really help me out. I just don't want to f up the new phone by potentially putting the blackra1n on it. Please help me out guys. Thanks!!!
