will iPhone bought on ebay work on Telus?

Hi everryone,

Telus (Canada) offers the iPhone as of today. I can purchase it for $199 on one of their plans, but they also offer it for $599 - and I can keep my current plan (which I like).

Could I purchase an iPhone off Craigslist or ebay and use it with Telus? Is an iPhone an iPhone, or are they specially locked to certain carriers?

uhhh obviously depends on where the iphone is from. but in general yes of course they will be locked to a carrier.

yes, if it is a Telus iphone, pop your sim in. If not you would have to use Blackra1n to jailbreak and then unlock it to use a foreign SIM card
