Will Iphone update ruin my custom ringtones?

I used to method of changing the the extension on my very own custom ringtones, will the new update (1.1.3) take those away or will they still work???

Does anyone know about iphoneringtonemaker? I saw a post stating the new update disabled the existing ringtones using iphoneringtonemaker. Did you change extensions on the ringtones in garage band or use a 3rd party ringtone program?

I just cut an audio file using Quicktime and then changed the file extension.

Thanks for the info and I'm glad your ringtones are still there.....However I'm going to wait to update until I hear that ringtones using iphoneringtonemaker are safe.

I did it with windows XP Audacity and change ext and work just as good as before with updated phone
