will iphone2g screen protectors fit 3g iphone?

i've had a screen protector since day1 and i think its teh best thing ever, it makes everything feel so much better, your finger slides so much easier then on the glass. will the ones that are out now fit the new iphone? if not do you think they will make new ones that will? thanks

They are close, but not exact. The 3G phone is a little wider. I had tons of screen protectors left over and when applied to my new iphone, it left about 1/16" on the sides and almost 1/8" by earpiece and home button. I realize this is minimal, but in a dusty environment it is noticeable. So far the only ones I have found are available in the apple store
