Now it is possible with 8 gb ram in the MBP 13" 2,26ghz. Do you have any ideas if it will be possible to put in 8 gb ram in the "old" umbp 2,4 ghz (perhaps a small software update). Isn't it the same logicboard in the new as in the old?

it seems like with the SL upgrade that pretty much all the Uni's will support 8GB's. that is my understanding. all the brand new one's will/do. that is the point that was made during the keynote.

I just saw this on Apple's website. To my knowledge, the 2.5 option was not available before. All of these models support 8GB. So, it doesn't look good for the 2.4, at least not now.

All the Apple employees say that the 2.4ghz UMBP can only suppor 4gb, although it has proven to work with 6, so let's hope.

Well apple might just be listing the products that they currently sell which now does not include a 2.4
