Well, thanks to my school, I'll be getting FinalCut Pro Studio this week, free for services being rendered.

I'm using a Macbook Pro 2.16 with 2GB RAM and 256MB X1600.

I'm basically wondering will Motion 2 sort of choke on this computer? I don't think it should be a real issue, but I want to make sure so I know what to expect.

Thanks!

should be ok

You should be ok - motion is a beast, but I run it on a dual 2.5 with 3gb ram...i don't see the mbp having any trouble with it!

good luck

I will mention that you shouldn't get your hopes up too high.

it will work, and it will work well- but you can choke any system depending on what you're telling it to do.

Requires a video card:

Motion requires the standard graphics card found in any Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, iMac Intel Core Duo, Power Mac G5, iMac G5, a 1.25 GHz or faster PowerBook G4, or a 1.25 GHz or faster flat-panel iMac.

AGP Quartz Extreme or PCI Express graphics card (Final Cut Studio is not supported on systems using the Intel Extreme Graphics 950 GMA)
