I think it will come with its own version of 10.10.2. There must be MacBooks in boxes by now, and if 10.10.3 was ready for prime time, it would be released. So 10.10.3 is too late for the Apr 10 shipping.

I agree. The code for the Force Touch trackpad clearly exists in 10.10.2 since that's what the new MBP are running in the Apple stores, so there's really nothing about them that would require it. My guess is USB-C has been part of OS X for some time and we just didn't know it.
