I had a problematic upgrade to 10.4.9--afterwards all my video files play back choppy. I was considering downgrading the install but was wondering it the problem could be solved by reinstalling the update. Is that recommended?

i tried the stand-alone 10.4.9 and it didn't work, so I will try again with the combo update. If that doesn't work, then what?

combo install didn't fix the issue. I have also tried repairing permissions. What can I do?
Try to revert back to Mac OS 10.4.8.
