One of my major complaints about iTunes is that it's super bloated. Everything from the iTunes store especially, to the unnecessary "Ping." I wish Apple will follow through with its own policy of simplifying the user experience and making iTunes less bloated.

What do you guys think?

Been hoping for that for Years and never happened. Maybe now with new iPods and iOS 5.

As much as iTunes sucks, I haven't found anything better for my needs.

I turn everything off that I don't need so I really don't think iTunes is bloated.

Considering the same people probably programmed the App Store app, I'd say no. The iTunes team is probably the least talented bunch of programmers and designers in Apple's roster.

If you look at apple's history when it comes to software, are their apps/OS getting leaner and faster or bigger and slower. My opinion is the latter and so iTunes will be more bloated not less then its predecessor
