Since June i've been using my iPod Touch(8gb, 2nd gen, fw 3.1.3) on just Linux Mint. In that time I've added alot of music and Apps. I might be getting new computer next month(On Windows 7) and was wondering, if I plug my iPod into it, will iTunes delete all my stuff, seeing as the iTunes will be new and expect my iPod to be too?

I think it will but, there are several things u can do. My hd broke and I had a similar problem, so the apple genius told me to call apple and on in iTunes sign in and they will put anything u bought in your download que (u can back ur iPod up by right clicking on it in iTunes so u don't loose data). There are several programs to just extract what is on the iPod and put it into iTunes, and that is all I can think of because if its not the computer it's originally synced to it erases and sync's. So if u back it up and the media from your old computer is in iTunes it just replaces what is there with no loss of data, music etc.

So how do I make a backup of what's on it to put into iTunes?
