About to pull trigger on iTunes Match to get the better quality music. One of the things I noticed in my library is that it's not as clean as I would like. Will iTunes Match clean that up at all or is there another solution that I could use (hopefully not a manual one) prior to me going with Match?

I've heard good and bad on this. I believe it will at least give you an idea of what duplicate music you have. I'm reluctant to try Match just yet myself so I'm only going by stories I continue to hear and read about.

I assume that by "clean up" you mean the tags and whatnot. And no, it won't fix any of that. If you read that big write up that made it to the front page, it'll say that it just uses whatever tag data you have already. If it can't match, it just uploads as is.

If you have songs called, "Track 02" it'll upload them as such.

No, it won't. It's weird, if something is labeled "track 1", it was still able to find a match and give me a higher quality version, but it won't update any of the meta data.
