Will iWatch work with iPhone 5c?

I'm trying to decide between android and iphone and one of the deciding factors may be the iwatch. I am really interested in it but I dont want to have to pony up hundreds of dollars for an iphone 6 and another huge amount for the iwatch. Any ideas if the iwatch will work with the cheaper 5c?

No official information on the subject yet. Wait until Tuesday to see what the announcement brings. Odds are it will compatible with iPhones that have Bluetooth 4.0.

When introducing a new item into their lineup, apple has been known to do everything they can to guarantee a wide adoption from its user base. I can be confident that the watch will be compatible with older iPhone models, but be hampered in some way,shape, of form.
