Will leaving Apple TV always on hurt it or use a lot of power?

I programmed my tv remote to control it which is very convenient but every time I use the buttons for actual tv stuff it turns the Apple TV on. But out of curiosity see title?

no, won't hurt it

it barely draws any power when it's running, for the current version of the aTV 3 it's about 1 watt when actually playing a movie, .7 when idle
