I’ve been checking my local Apple Store for a pro max but nothing has been in stock since launch day. Do they fill all the back orders before stocking the local stores?

iPhone 15 Pro Max Will local Apple stores get stock before all the back orders? Are filled?

Apple store receives shipment almost on a daily basis. They don't know what it is until they open them. They will update inventory and they do not fill all the back orders before stocking local stores. Apple store did stock up some Natural and white titanium pro max 1 tb yesterday at my local apple store. I'd say continue to check. They will stock up.
Go to the apple store, enter the info like you are trying to buy a new phone and it will tell you if any are available at numerous stores in your general area. I'd check first thing in the morning as that is when they update the info.
All the six local Apple Stores in my area getting every day the same 15P and 15PM on stock delivered everyday. It's still available to order for pick-up for today/now. But not the size and color I want. 
I don't know why you can't order to pickup in store instead of it has to be in the store to order online or just be delivered to your address. Considering Apple just added 20 more countries for preorder I suspect it's going to be near Christmas before Apple stores, BestBuy and like, get any large amt of stock in store (and even if then).
I would say just check your local Apple store inventory daily ( early in the morning before they open). I got mine launch day and pre-ordered it the same day.
Yup I just kept refreshing the page during the day yesterday and found a 15PM White at a local store and am scheduled to pick it up today. It's a 512, would have taken a 256 but can't go wrong with more storage.
The page on apple.com does update constantly with stock so you have to keep refreshing it, even by the minute it changes.
I have mainly seen 512s and 1Tb, if a 256 pops up it's gone very quick but I see them every day from 9am-3pm ish, I'd imagine as deliveries are made they check them in and they pop up.

Yes they do. Stock is refreshed constantly, though the most I've been seeing in my area is for the 1tb model.
Yes. A little trick too is to check a zip code of a time zone that's ahead of you. Usually (I cant stress the "usually" enough) the stores across the US will get the same or similar models that every other store gets daily. Yesterday is was Black pros and Pro maxs.
Yes always this. Same as last year. If I saw anything under 512, it would be gone if I clicked search again. But TB sit forever. Bad enough they ended the 128 to force you to buy storage your don't need. No way I am paying TB prices.
Seems like stocks pop up at different times for each store. One store near me has 3 different configurations of the pro max available but not the one I’m looking for
I didn't find that to be true for me but I am in the Chicago area and there are at least 6-7 stores within an hour drive of me. Yesterday I saw all colors but natural.
I do notice when multiple pop up they are usually all from the same store since I assume they are checking in their shipment at that time. Also I only saw max's no pro's lately.
I have seen a few stores get some in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Sometimes they pop up and are gone so fast I wonder if they get checked in and reserved for exchanges as I believe they always keep some on hand for that purpose if a phone is damaged right out of the box.
Two more appeared. Both TB again. I'm just amazed no regular Pros are appearing this time. Last year they were pretty steady. Just Maxxes were super rare
Same in my area, too. It's wild how quickly they get snatched up. Gone in minutes.

The walk-in stock and online order stock are different.
Plenty of people cancelled their previous orders on September 22 to get it faster in-store.
