Will Logic Board failures turn up in Apple Diagnostics?

Been having kernel panics on my 16" MBP for months now. Noticed it started after update to Big Sur.

At the same time, there are reports of some 16" MBP models having logic board failures.

I am currently working with Apple tier-2 support. I am pretty confident my 16" MBP is defective, but after Apple had me run a Diagnostic Report, nothing showed up.

Would a logic board failure definitely have shown up in that Diagnostic Report? Can I be confident that since it didn't, there is nothing wrong with the logic board?
