I live in Chicago, I am an AT&T customer and I live right downtown so I am sure I am in the coverage area. When I receive my new iPhone 6s+ on 9/25 and connect it to AT&T's network, will LTE-A automatically becoming available? Will there be a new LTE-A cellular symbol or will I never know if I am on LTE-A or todays LTE?

Theres no symbol. If you have LTE-A you can't tell unless you do a speed test. You would also notice if normally your LTE is congested and slower than usual, in which case you would notice a nice speed boost.

Here in South Florida, AT&T normally hits 35 Mbps on SISO sites, 65 on MIMO sites, and I've hit 110 on LTE-A enabled sites.
