I've asked about this ChatGPT and he told me that it won't be available in this line of laptops from Apple because it's more students oriented and for people that want to have quite cheap laptop in Apple ecosystem. What's your thoughts?

I don’t necessarily think the low price would stop Apple from offering it as an option. On the 14” MacBook Pro it’s only $135.

I’d say two factors come into play.

Would this sell to the consumer that buys the Air? Do most college students and people browsing the web really care about a nano texture display?

Also, I suspect the Air gets a bit rougher handling than the Pro. Is the nano texture display more vulnerable to damage? If you have a bunch of people with damaged displays, they’re not going to be happy and this is not good for Apple.

I personally would never buy this because I prefer a glossy display. This is one reason I like Apple computers over most Windows laptops. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a glossy display on a Windows computer.

My work laptop is a 16" Lenovo Yoga 7i with a glossy display. Like you I prefer them, so I was pleased to get a work-issued laptop with one.

Nano-texture and ProMotion are "Pro level" features for now. Apple might add those to MacBook Air, until MacBook Pro get something better, more advanced.
