Will Mavericks kill my Boot camp install ?

I read that some people are having problems installing Windows 8.x via Boot camp once upgraded to Mavericks.

In my case I already have Windows 8.1 running via Boot Camp with Mountain Lion. Should i upgrade to Mavericks, will i have to redo the whole thing or will it keep my Boot camp partition as it is right now ?

It keeps it. However, I'd make a back-up to be sure.

So far, my Win XP bootcamp is running fine (was on the machine prior to Mav).
