Will messages still be sent if I go on Airplane Mode?

If I put my phone on Airplane Mode for a few hours and I turn it off later will messages sent to me during that time period be received by my phone?

You'll recieve them after turning the phone back on.

You can turn on airplane mode and while it's on you can connect to a wifi network and still use iMessage. but for text. What the post above said its correct.
