Will my app store apps (from my iphone 4) work on iOS5?

I have an iPhone 4, and have a bunch of apps from the app store (tomtom, tons of games, etc). Will they work if i upgrade to ios 5, or do I have to wait until each app is updated by the developer? I rely on the tomtom app heavily, so I don't want to update if there's a risk of my app store apps not working.

I am not jailbroken btw.

Most of them will still work, if not all of them. Some apps will probably crash a lot though. I only had problems with one or two apps out of about 60 when I updated.
