Will my iphone 5 model GSM A1429 work in Japan

HI!

I am from India and would be visiting Japan shortly.

I was wondering if my iphone 5 model no A1429 currently hooked to Vodafone - GSM network will work In japan on Softbank's sim card.

Please let me know if any one has a solution to this issue

I don't see why not. I was in Japan last year and my iPhone 4 worked.

However, I didn't use a Softbank sim card (I used my European T-Mobile card).

A friend of mine just went to Japan with his iPhone 5 locked on Vodafone Romania. No problems.
