hey guys,

thinking of upgrading a few components on my new PC rig. (I know already!!) it will be the CPU, RAM and cooler.

if I upgrade these and everything else EXACTLY the same, will it not alter anything for my OS or software, I'm assuming so, am I correct?(all SSD and HD not moved or touched at all).

cheers guys, RTJ

It shouldn't change anything. The change that is most likely to cause problems is Motherboard, or PCI cards.

*edit*

but please make a backup before opening your computer. You never know what can happen to a drive (static discharge, knocked over etc)

Thanks for the reply dude, I will do, don't have much to backup, but better safe than sorry.
