Since it's commonplace here to open several threads on the same topic,I figure I'd add to that legacy.
I assume gel cases with some use will fit but my question regards a hard sided case,i.e. Otterbox Defender.

So talked to Otterbox and they say Commuter & Symmetry series cases will fit but NOT Defender series.

I think he just hasn't used apostrophes...

Rephrasing....

Will his Otterbox case for his iPhone 6, also fit his 6s?

Reading google and such, due to the tight fit - just mm of a difference; they will not jive together too well.

If it's anything like the one for the 6 is, according to OtterBox, no. I ordered one for my 6s (Defender) and it was delivered today - says for iPhone 6, but then has a sticker on it that says 6s compatible. I contacted OtterBox and they said this case is for the 6s and is backwards compatible for the 6, but the current 6 cases won't fit the 6s properly, so, based on that, I'd be inclined to think the same applies with the 6+ cases.

What are the differences between the 6+ and the 6S+ that makes it a tight fit for 6+ cases? On the surface they look identical.

Agent there was very clear about not fitting. Apple sure made case-makers a buttload of money this time around, not that it was any concern of theirs.
