So after learning from a blog about the UV and Blue light and even a risk of Age-related Macular Degeneration, I thought about ordering a pair of computer eyewear from it. But first on a 'hunch' I checked my old sunglass stash in the basement to make sure I didn't already have something similar that might work...and bingo!
The first pair is made by Wiley X and the lens is officially called 'light rust' and is polarized. They don't appear quite as dark-orange color as the T 'aime Optics did, but more of a lighter-orange.
Now my question is do the Yellow Lens block blue light and UV emitting from computer and smartphones, tablets, kindles, and more electronic devices? Is there really such sunglasses to filter blue light and UV light and reduce AMD?
I am working at a software company and a minimum of 8 hours working on computer every day, so i am seriously concerned about my eyes. I am worried about the freckle around my eyes and the eye fatigue after a whole day's work.
Thank you. I would be appreciated for any helpful advice.
