Hey all,
I just bought MyWi to tether to my laptop while I'm at my office and I was curious about something. I am planning on purchasing the new iPhone whenever it is released which means that the 4.0 OS will most likely be installed.

Assuming that the 4.0 will be jailbroken does anyone know if my MyWi purchase might transfer to the new jailbroken platform? I know nobody has a real solid answer because it's a wait and see situation but just curious if anyone was aware about their history with previous OS upgrades. thanks!

There are many of us in this situation. We can only hope we will be able to transfer our paid Cydia apps.

you can always SSH the file folder of the cydia apps purchases into your 4.0 Phone because it should recognize that you have the app which will let you upgrade them and such.

I apologize if is has been answered already but I'm a newbie in a similar situation and still confused. I have a jb 3G and would like to upgrade to 3GS. How exactly can I transfer my Cydia apps to the new phone (after jb, of course)? Thanks!

Learn how to SSH, then learn how to back up Cydia apps through SSH and when you upgrade. I'd wait till the HD or Fourth Generation iPhone because the 3GS has practically no Jailbreak features worth trying to unlock the 3.1.3 software.

After you have backuped the app folders with the apps when you get your new phone Jailbreak it download open SSH and then put them back into the right folder source. Viola your done!
