I just bought 4GB of RAM from OWC but have not installed it yet because... My iMac randomly completely shutdown today for the third time in about a month. I will turn it on and there will be no problems. I am nervous about installing the RAM because Apple may blame that for the shutdowns.

Will this new RAM void my warranty or Apple give me any problems???

Does not void the warranty, but if you take it in for repair you must remove it. As they won't support a different brand of memory other then apple's memory. If you do have problem with you iMac why don't you take it in or call support..
