I was just thinking about all the Apple hardware and software that will be updated next week to make it compatible with iOS 5.

1. iOS 5 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
2. Apple TV Software update (based on iOS 5)
3. iPhoto 9.2 update
4. Aperture update
5. iTunes 10.5
6. Pages, Numbers and Keynote.app updates for iOS and Mac
7. Cards.app released
8. Find My Friends.app released
9. iCloud Web site becomes open to the public
10. Mac OS 10.7.2
11. Recovery Partition update for compatible Macs
12. Siri voice recognition servers go live

I'm probably missing some. This has to be one of the largest software updates in Apple's history. I don't recall anything like this before.

You're right, thinking about it. Hope that new server farm thingy helps it take the load! iOS 4 was OK, but I remember iOS (or iPhone OS as it was back then) 3 was a nightmare.

I'm the complete opposite of excited for most of this. Using 3 (four if you count the GM) of iOS5's betas kinda ruined the excitement for me. Only thing I'm looking forward to is Siri. I wonder if you can address "her" by name? That would be pretty cool.

It will be incredible and makes me not feel left out for not upgrading to an iPhone 4S. The new iPhones are only a part of next week and I would say a small part.
