I recently reset my iphone (3G) settings and now it goes through this routine of displaying the silver start apple but never booting up past it. I plug it in and itunes wont recognize it. It will try and boot for about a minute and then it will "reset" (screen brightens and blinks and the apple reappears) but never makes it past the silver apple. I brought it to an apple store and they said I'd have to go to a mac store like an our in a half away and pay money. Can anyone help???

If this has been addressed before I apologize. I couldn't find the thread.

check out that site tons of good info and excellent tutorials.

glad it worked

I'm glad you got your problem resolved but could you (just to cure my confusion) explain the portion of your post that I bolded? I wasn't aware there was a difference between an Apple Store and a Mac Store...

Yea I get the confusion. I brought it to an "apple specialist" store which isn't an "apple" store. They just resell their shiz and couldn't help with any technical problems beyond what the employee knew. Make sense?
