I upgraded my 2009 MBP to 8GB of RAM, now I have 2x2GB sticks of RAM lying around.

My flatmate has an old 2007 macbook, can he use this RAM in there?

The Mhz and the PC2 don't match but surely he'll get an improvement if not quite as good as I had out of the sticks in my MBP.

Your '09 MBP uses DDR3. The MacBook uses DDR2. You'll damage his computer if you attempt to use it.

your ram memory won't even fit on your friend's macbook ram slot.
