Will Outlook 2011 contacts sync well with Itunes?

Hi,
coming from a windows environment, I always sync my MS outlook (contacts + email) to my Iphone/ipad via Itunes.

I have now installed Office 2011 (with outlook) into my rMBP.

From various reads, I understand that synching of Outlook to Itunes is not as easy as on windows environment.

I was wondering if you guys can offer suggestions as to what i can do......

If you select to sync iCloud Contacts and Calendars in System Preferences, this will pull all your data off Outlook and move to the Apple apps.

Outlook for Mac does not support either CalDAV nor CardDAV.
