I live in Florida. When I am outside for an extended period of time and using my phone it overheats and reduces screen brightness (I'm assuming in an effort to cool things down). Unfortunately, this reduction in screen brightness often means that I can't see the screen.

Will the iPhone 13 screen technology run any cooler and help my overheating issues?

Thanks.

The new modem will run cooler which should help, but I believe the SOC is a tweaked version of last year's so I don't expect the chip to run appreciably cooler.
Just guessing.
But if its overheating specifically when out in the sun - that's the problem. Keep it out of the sun.

The most wattage comes from the AMOLED panel, and this year it’s getting a boost to 1000 nits from 800 when the brightness slider is maxed. If you keep it at max brightness and do a lot of scrolling and constant movement that keeps the panel at 120Hz most of the time it’s going to get just as warm if not worse than the 12 Pro. The best thing you can do is limit your brightness slider and use the phone in intervals.

I wouldn’t expect much difference.

Keep it out of the sun, my XR had display issues after I left it in the sun.
